Non Standard Construction Part 2: System Build

This online course is the second part of the series. It looks at the two most common forms of non-standard construction: steel frame and precast concrete.

Objectives

This is an online course. This means you can study at a time that suits you and at your own pace. The course includes links to reading material and there is a self-test to check your understanding.

Summary

System build can be found almost anywhere in the UK. Any city or sizeable town is likely to have at least one estate of this type of construction.  This course focuses on the two most common systems - steel frame and precast concrete. Many of the original identifying features have been disguised or replaced in modernisation programmes, making identification difficult.

After studying this course, you will have a good idea of the original construction of the systems considered and you will be well placed to recognise them in the field.

Course suitable for: Domestic Energy Assessors, Home Inspectors and other residential surveyors.

Course type: Online

CPD Hours: 3
