NHER Accreditation Scheme open for Air Conditioning Energy Assessors

Following a successful visit by the External Verifier appointed by ABBE, the Awarding Body, National Energy Services is pleased to announce that the first candidates to undertake training and assessment for the Air Conditioning Assessor qualification are now fully qualified and ready to join the NHER Accreditation Scheme.

The Air Conditioning qualification is one of the suite of energy qualifications offered by NES. What makes it unique is that the majority of the training is undertaken via distance learning—a combination of online and CD-based training material—allowing candidates access to the training at a very reasonable price, and the ability to study at their own pace. Once the candidate are ready to move into assessment, they can attend a refresher course and then NES has accessed a range of air conditioning systems for them to inspect for their portfolios.

Hilary Grayson, Head of Training and Assessment said:

“We are very conscious of the costs involved in training and assessment, particularly in terms of the opportunity costs associated with attending traditional training events. In the difficult EPC market we are even more aware that energy assessors running successful consultancies will be more cost-conscious. We are therefore really pleased to know that this training model has been successful, and we offer Richard Johnson and Charles Federolf our congratulations on obtaining this qualification”.
