Brian Scannell appointed chair of Green Deal Forum

Brian Scannell, Chair of Green Deal Advice Qualification and Accreditation ForumBrian Scannell, managing director of National Energy Services, has been appointed as chair of the Green Deal Advice Qualification and Accreditation Forum. The forum, which meets monthly, advises government on the development of the advice network, both in-home and remote, for the Green Deal.

The organisations represented by the forum are

  • Federation of Small Businesses
  • British Chambers of Commerce
  • National Federation of Property Professionals
  • Energy Services and Technologies Association
  • Property & Energy Professionals’ Association
  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Asset Skills
  • Local Government Association
  • The Carbon Trust
  • Energy Saving Trust

There are three other Green Deal Industry Stakeholder Forums. Together, the forums have the aim of:

  • Increasing the capacity of the Green Deal supply chain
  • Creating an installation accreditation and qualification framework
  • Promoting energy efficiency improvements across different building tenures
  • Developing a Green Deal advice framework that will serve the consumer

Brian Scannell said:
