All systems go for air conditioning assessment

Here at NES we recently completed our first candidate practical assessment day for the Air Conditioning Energy Assessor (ACEA) Level 3 qualification.

On a day blessed with fine sunny weather (though still not sufficient to coax all of the cooling equipment into full action), our candidates were provided with the three ABBE  prescribed systems to inspect, enabling them to proceed without further need to source additional systems for inspection themselves. All systems are within very easy reach of our offices in Milton Keynes, minimising travel between sites and maximising time on site.

Reactions on the day were very good, and although it was a long and intensive day, candidates were certainly grateful to be able to cover all the required inspections in one go. Candidates were also pleased with the additional half-day classroom ‘bridging session’ on the afternoon prior to the inspections, provided in order to bridge the gap between the desk-based study and exams, and the practicalities of site inspection and subsequent use of the NHER Assessment systems.

Further assessment days are planned on 12-13 October and 9-10 November. You can read more about ACEA training and assessment here.
