2nd Annual Report submitted to CLG

We recently submitted our second annual report to CLG on the operation of the NHER accreditation scheme. It covers the period 1 October 2008 to 30 September 2009.

Front cover of the NES Annual Report to CLGThe report contains information on our membership base, lodgements and quality assurance processes. We also highlight the two large pieces of research we carried out in this period: 'Compliance on the High Street', a report into Commercial EPC non-compliance; and 'Seizing the Opportunity', exploring the opportunities created by the EPC and its recommendations.

We are justifiably proud of our achievements and those of our members over the previous 12 months. Together, we have worked hard to increase awareness of the EPC's importance and value and to promote best practice in the energy assessment industry. We have also continued to provide support for our Home Inspector members through lobbying and development of the Home Condition Survey.

In the report we repeat our recommendations from the previous annual report, which went unacknowledged by CLG. They remain important and relevant today.
