Each month we research EPC compliance for non-domestic buildings – the sector with the lowest compliance rates. We produce a monthly index in association with building.co.uk, showing how many commercial buildings being marketed have an EPC.

In June we investigated 683 properties in Derby, Dorset and Derbyshire that have been on the market for more than 6 months and are larger than 50 sqm. June's investigation produced an overall compliance figure of 44%, a slight increase on May's 39%.

SAP and the Building Regulations are both set to change in 2010. We have again updated NHER SAP 2009 Preview – software that allows you to see the effects of the proposed changes.

NHER Plan Assessor v5.0 will be released in September with all the SAP and Building Regulations changes. In the meantime, this is your chance to prepare with this educational tool.
