Today (26th September 2016), the NHER EPC accreditation scheme has transferred to Elmhurst Energy Systems.

The NHER scheme is a leading provider of software, accreditation and technical support in the EPC sector and covers England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It was established in 1990, was the first energy rating scheme in the UK, and was the forerunner to the introduction of EPCs in 2007.

Training The first training course in Routine Visual and Operational Checks is taking place today (7th September) and it is great to see the course is fully booked. The training course and new membership scheme are part of a joint initiative between SAVA and NAPIT.

On 1st October 2016 RdSAP conventions v9.0 come into force. All EPCs carried out after 1st October 2016 must follow these conventions and all audits will be carried out against these new conventions.

Most of the convention changes are amendments to existing conventions, but there are also some new ones. 

The new conventions alongside the DCLG information pertaining to the new conventions are available to view on the NES Knowledgebase
