Ofgem released a new consultation on 27th May seeking feedback on the proposal that, as of 1st April 2017, ECO scores would be based upon ‘“deemed” scores. Responses need to be in by 8th July 2016.

Statement from Austin Baggett, Managing Director, National Energy Services:

As you will know, the EU Referendum is drawing near and on 23rd June we will all be able to cast our votes as to whether or not Britain should remain in the European Union. 

EPCs (including DECs) were introduced into the UK as a requirement under the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings. A vote to leave the EU on 23rd June will therefore have implications for everyone who is involved with EPCs, from assessors through to accreditation schemes.

NAPIT and SAVA, the residential property surveyor organisation and part of National Energy Services Ltd (NES) have announced they are working together on a brand new electrical training course and membership scheme.

The training course and membership offering has been designed to provide Surveyors and Energy Assessors in the UK with the training and certification needed to visually check domestic electrical installations and identify if they are fit for purpose.
