NHER Accreditation Scheme
On 26th September 2016 the NHER EPC accreditation scheme transferred to Elmhurst Energy Systems. For new membership enquiries please contact Elmhurst at www.elmhurstenergy.co.uk. This website will be updated in due course.
It is free to join the NHER Accreditation Scheme and any qualified energy assessor can join, you don’t need to have trained with NES. To join the NHER Accreditation Scheme, you will need to hold one of the following qualifications:
- Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment
- Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment with Professional Development Certificate
- Certificate in Domestic On Construction Energy Assessment
- Certificate in Non Domestic Energy Assessment
- Diploma in Operational Ratings

Easy to use software

Access to NES Touch
As a member of the NHER Accrediation Scheme, DEAs will be able to use our mobile app, NES Touch, to undertake and lodge EPCs. Click here to find out more.

As you register more EPCs during your membership of the scheme the cost per report will reduce.
On-demand technical support
You will have access 6 days a week to a dedicated Technical Support team to answer your queries – whether they are about our software systems or report conventions. For more details click here.
You will receive regular copies of our Technical Bulletins keeping members abreast of legislation, methodology conventions and tips on using our software. Click here for a sample bulletin.
You will be given full CPD support and advice, including reduced rates on NES training courses. Browse our training and CPD courses here.
You will have the option to upload inspection records, photos and other information and store it in a secure area with full daily backups. This simplifies audit and complaint investigation procedures, and is in addition to your own record keeping requirements.
Monitoring and compliance support
You will be supported throughout our monitoring and compliance checks, secure in the knowledge that your energy certificates and surveys are of the highest quality so people can act with confidence on the recommendations contained within them.
Identity cards and branding
Domestic energy assessors will receive an identity card for use during appointments, and all members will receive logos for use on websites, stationery and other branded items.
