In light of recent changes to the commercial energy assessment procedure and the associated potential audit issues, we are offering a new one day update/refresher training day for existing Commercial Energy Assessors. This training day will be a classroom session held at our training centre in Milton Keynes and will cover the following main items:-

• Commercial EPC Conventions - updates and changes
• Review of current EPC assessment procedures
• Potential software issues affecting audits
• The NHER commercial EPC audit procedure

The main aim of the day is to provide existing CEAs with an update on the latest developments and an overall refresher with respect to Commercial EPC assessment. Being a classroom day there will be lots of opportunities to raise issues with and ask questions of our commercial energy assessment experts.

This training day is aimed at the experienced Commerical Energy Assessor who is already familiar with the basics of commercial property energy assessment but who wants to ensure that they are up to seed with the very latest developments. It is recommended that more inexperienced individuals attend the SBEM Practical Refresher day before attending this update training session.

A 'refresher' module providing in depth/detailed information on the SBEM lighting modelling procedure. Understanding SBEM's 'standardised' approach, the 3 options for lighting modelling, lighting controls, tips and techniques for lighting identification etc.

CPD Hours: 2 hours

The course costs £25+VAT for NHER/SAVA members. For non-members, it is £35+VAT.

This CPD module is intended as a refresher/update for existing L3 and L4 CEAs.

In particular it provides detailed information on chilled ceilings, chilled beams and displacement ventilation, 'mixed-mode' operation strategy for HVAC, a reminder on how to combine data entry for separate heating and cooling systems in the same zone and the associated SBEM data for all three.

L4 CEAs will find it a useful refresher module, and L3s considering an upgrade to L4 will get a good indication of the type of sophisticated systems they will need to be familiar with at L4. An in-depth self-assessment is provided.

There are some challenging commercial properties in a potentially very litigious market.  As the level of compliance in the market place increases and building owners begin to understand the implications of Energy Performance Certificates, it is vital that all Commercial Energy Assessors are fully aware of the correct methodologies and conventions to employ when producing Commercial EPCs.

Using real buildings, this SBEM refresher focuses on correct inspection techniques and application of conventions, in order to ensure that EPCs are produced as accurately and consistently as possible.

This event is aimed at newly qualified Assessors with limited practical experience of delivering EPCs or those individuals within training who wish to refresh their knowledge and understanding before proceeding with their qualification.

This online module gives you an overview of all legislation relating to fire, including the need for fire risk assessments.

You will learn about the necessity for training, use of equipment and how to identify correct equipment for the type of fire.

This CPD module is intended as a refresher for existing Commercial Energy Assessors. It looks at some of the issues that might be proving problematic when assessing commercial buildings and offers additional material and guidance. It particularly focuses on the 'SBEM assessment' of these issues and the associated data entry required.
